 Waiting for the Dauphin Island Draw Bridge to Open.. Photo from early 1964/1965 by Johnnie Joyner, USAF, stationed on Dauphin Island. This bridge was destroyed by Hurricane Frederick in 1979. Current span was opened in 1972
